Just a quick question about the UL-RoHT addon. I haven't installed RoHT yet, but I consider to install it in my current game. So I wonder what it's the best time to install it.

Is it before starting the MQ and after I joined the House Telvanni or is it before joining the House Telvanni and after I started the MQ? I dunno if it's recommended to install RoHT before starting the MQ and joining the House Telvanni.

Why would you need to delay? Afaik, it doesn't interfere with the main quest. Just don't kill anyone important - like the Duke or his brother.

Why? It is simple and the reason is http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Nchuleftingth_Expedition quest, which will be active in my journal throughout the game unless I use the console to finish it in-game. Or I finish it first without joining the Mage's Guild, but that probably require to start the MQ.

Strange. I've had RoHT activated from the start of my playthroughs and have never experienced any problem like that. When I get ready to go through the Telvanni quests, I do make a point of asking for that quest - as well as all of Edwina's Mages Guild quests - and that quest finishes normally as soon as I complete it and ask for the next. As a matter of fact, I've been able to complete all her MG quests and they close normally in my journal.

There's one or two other Mages Guild quest givers that I also try to finish as far as I can before I get too involved with Telvanni from a role playing point of view. I know Telvanni don't like Mages Guild and I don't think my player would feel too comfortable doing them after I get too involved with the House.

I've also had no problem that I know of between joining the Mages Guild and starting the MQ though I usually join the Guild as soon as I get to Balmora. (I've got the Alchemy Helper bag loaded.) Occasionally, I'll talk to Caius before I join the guild but usually I join the guild first, do a couple of quests, and then worry about Caius. Sometimes, I do most of the guild quests before I start the MQ, but I usually like to do them around the same time. The only journal entries that get hung up are regarding Fargoth and the one with the taxman, but I know what keeps those two from completing.

If you read the quest more closely on UESP, you'll notice that the player can avoid to start the quest I linked to if the disposition for http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Hasphat_Antabolis is under 70.

Of course I can avoid to start the quest by NOT picking the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Nchuleftingth topic or the Dwemer sites topic (I don't remember which topic triggers the quest), but my character wanted to know more about the Dwemer and he is a Dwemer scholar.

So that's why I wonder what is the best time to install RoHT.

Please forgive me. I'm not trying to cast doubt on your knowledge, but I am worrying that I might be missing something.

I know of only two ways to start that particular quest. One is through the Mages Guild quests (Edwinna) and the other is through starting the Main Quest quests. Normally, I start it through the Main Quest and then wait until I receive the other before I go there. It has always completed both quests in my journal when I've finally done it.

In either case, having RoHT active from the moment I get off the boat has never interfered with that quest. The only problems I see is perhaps if you try to join the Mages Guild after you've risen to the head of House Telvanni. Though, of course, it would be impossible to become head of House Telvanni if you've risen to head the Mages Guild first. (The final MG quests completed will break the final Telvanni quests - at least in vanilla.)

That's okay.

I know since I have completed the actual quest in both ways. However, in contrast to you I always finish the quest if I don't plan to join the Mage's Guild, but like you I would probably wait until I got the quest from Edwinna.

I haven't started the quest line for RoHT before in my previous game, but a couple of times I did have RoHT installed back then.

Do you mean when the player become the Arch-Mage for the Mage's Guild? If so then read http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Arch-Mage and I have done that both ways, although I often challenge him in the Arena and always won the fight.

Can't wait to meet the new Verena in game! :goodjob: (I must confess, she one of my most favourite characters from Uvirith's Legacy: not the most likable, surely, but the most memorable one. She is a walking representation of all the bad Telvanni stereotypes, and I love that!)

Thanks! As a traditional Telvanni, of course she has to have traditional Telvanni hair. I only wish I had more characters your hairs would suit, because they're fantastic. I'm still stumped on what to do about Sara's, because it has to be suitable for battle. I got lots of time to figure that out though.

I've been expanding Uvirith's Tomb to turn it into a proper dungeon crawl, and the new areas make the original tomb look like a kiddie pool. The original is still intact, but I've moved everything important into the more impressive areas, including giving Verena proper quarters to live in (should you decide to forever leave her there in misery).

As for the hairstyles suitable for a warrior girl: may I suggest braids? They can be feminine and neat, and warriors in many many real-world cultures wore them. There are some fantastic braided hairstyles in the MacKom's hair mod if you decide to got with a MacKom's head for Sara, and if you leave the current head - there are very nice braided hairstyles in Westly's mods and in http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/41622/? (and some MacKom's hairs - those which cover ears - can be used with older head models as well).
