Colored bar across brow area

Post » Tue Jan 19, 2016 12:45 pm

In my games, many of the npc's have a colored bar across the brow area of the face. I am about to start a new game, and if I choose a male character, it is fine, but if I choose a female character, I get that same colored bar (blue).

I have disabled nearly all of my mods, keeping only the necessary ones, but it doesn't help. Has anybody heard of this problem before? If so, is there a fix?

Are you building a female Nord, and seeing a preset with face paint? And if that's not it.... have you updated all your mods?

It is most females of any race and quite a few male ones, also. As for the mods, I had disabled all but the patches. I was able to create a Lunari female without a problem, though, except I wanted the Breton.

You might need to put a screenshot or so up on imgur or another free image hosting site, and link it here so people can see what it looks like....

Have you tried Arthmoor's http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/3211-relz-alternate-start-live-another-life/ mod?

If not download the LAL mod and start a new game then pick the Breton race and the Forsworn starting option in LAL. Of course you can always change your mind provided that you don't active the bed.

Yesterday, I disabled every single mod, including the patches. I only had the game itself and the dlc's enabled. Well, I did have the Live Another Life mod enabled because I didn't want to sit through the cart ride, but absolutely nothing else. I still had the colored bar across all females of all the vanilla races. Only mod followers or races don't have the forehead bar. So this isn't a mod problem. I have absolutely no idea where to look. Maybe the game itself is screwed up. I'm not going uninstall and reinstall everything. Just not worth the aggravation. Unless, someone has an idea of where else I can look, I guess I'm going to just have to live with it.

As mentioned above, posting pics of the problem might help.

Also, disabling mods may not be enough, especially if you've installed mods with loose files that may be overwriting characters. Did you install a body mod at some point? Check your install directory and make sure there is nothing in Data\textures\actors\character folder.
