But I do that when I'm in the creation kit. In the kit all the armor is on the table and it looks fine. It's only when I go into the game itself as the armor is like 6 clicks up in the air.

What happens if you touch the armour in-game? And are you checking on a new-game, or an existing one?

From what you've said, it kind of sounds like a collision issue I saw back in Oblivion--not sure if it is, but with display cases sometimes in Oblivion, the item would get 'caught' in the collision and move upwards into the open air; maybe your collision barrier is cutting into the armour's own collision mesh, and forcing them upwards?

Try this:

- Double click the armor references in the render window.

- Select "Don't havok settle"

It will still likely float when after the player bumps it, but by default it should stay where you placed it.

For safety i upped the height of the collision box... it seems i forgot to set "default block activation" and "default disable havok on load" to my armors ...i added the dont havok settle checkbox for extra measure...works great now...thanks!
