The game freezes after a few seconds.

Hello.

I've reinstalled Windows 7 pro on my sadly obsolete 32bit system. Skyrim is the first game I installed again right after the "software cleaning" my pc has undergone.

I've installed a few mods:

-SkyUI

-Fixed followers lite

-light daedric female armor

-cloaks

-follower Eleonora

-Hikari (follower)

-wetandcold (weather effects on chars and npcs)

Now no matter what I'm doing, the game crashes after 10 seconds of gameplay. Damn, the game was much more stable prior to the reinstallation of windows 7, when my pc suffered crashes and freezes and reboots!

My pc is still clean from other software, except another game (left for dead 2), and obviously, Avast premiere antivirus.

I don't really understand the reason of its instability. The pc is far more stable now, but the game is unplayable.

Was it a clean Windows 7 installation?

What are your comp specs?

What was your previous OS, the same W7 32 bit?

Have you tried to start the game before you added mods?

The installation was clean, in the sense that Windows 7(the same version I used before) did a full installation, not a restore of the previous one. I have deleted the windows.old folder that the new installation had left because it took away 300GB of disk space.

My pc is very old, it had previously some graaphic card problems, but they had been completely solved with another pc cleaning almost one year ago. I suppose it crashed because there was too much rubbish software installed that probably messed up my pc.

My pc is an intel quadcore Q6600 @2.4GHz, with 4 GB system ram, Asus Engtx460 graphic card with 1 GB ram, a 500GB hard disk. It has always had problems, since the time I bought it, but luckily I had found expert people able to solve most of them.

What additional programs have installed on your computer, that can cause Skyrim to crash?

If the game crashes what kind of error are listed in your Event viewer -> Windows Logs under Application and System
