The game has some management issues and I'm wondering if it's possible to resolve them via modding:
1) Weapons and armor are a management issue because the inventory is just a heap that quickly become unmanagable. It would be awesome if weapons could be broken down into mods. Armor has this feature already. The difference is that armor mods go onto the base armor and that would make no sense for weapons because weapons, in the real world, are entirely modular. So, it would make sense that when a weapon is broken down into mods it would happen completely.
2) A button that would automatically strip armor and weapons down into their mods.
3) Settlements increase the management issues exponentially because setters can be equipped. It would be great to have a quarter master (or some other functionary) that you can just dump weapons and armor on and walk away, letting them take care of things. Ideally, you could assemble weapon/armor sets to assign a priority too. For example, guards could get the best weapons and armor first, etc.
4) DPS calculator. Damage Per Second (despite what some people want to believe) is a very good estimate of a weapon's power, especially simple weapons like pistols and rifles. In cases where it's not a good estimate, well, it can be ignored. But, for most content it's quite good and the best one can get without a Ph.D in math and tons of charts and graphs. A DPS calculator would be useful to the player and useful in assigning equipment priorities to settlers.
