Anne Hargraves was hired without any problem.

But after that Trader Rylee and Doc Anderson never showed up. The suggested console commands in wiki referred to, made them show up though and when assigned to shops they have stayed until now. So console commands are necessary? Or is it just that they don't really mean what they say about working in settlement?

I have a problem where the traders you set up do not respawn their wares and caps for a long time. I think it took around 7 game days for many of my NPC traders to get fresh stock and more caps.

I don't know what's going on with my NPC traders in Outpost Zimonja... it has been well over 7 game days. I think I leveled up twice (from level 70 to 72) and still no change.

Everything involving the settlement specific NPCs is buggy to all hell for just about every single one (save for Anne I believe).


They can range from never showing up to a settlement, not being able to recruit them, never going to what you assigned them to, or just disappear from the plain of existence.

After relocating some settlers, the NPC two merchants have gone and the shops they occupied have become unassigned.

All I was ever able to successfully recruit were Vault Tec and Rylee. Successfully as in being there and running a shop. You still have to repeat all the recruitment dialogue ad nauseam whenever interacting with them.

All the others were no shows. The gal at Vault 81 gave me the recruitment option, but that was it. No window popped up to send her to some settlement. The doc doesn't even offer to set up shop. although I constantly run into him.
