Massive FPS drops when indoors

Post » Fri Jan 22, 2016 3:32 am

Hey everyone, I'm playing Fallout 4 on this rig:

R9 380 4gb

i5 3470

8gb ram

Windows 10

Installed on SSD

I get lovely FPS when outdoors, but whenever I am indoors I get horrible drops to less than 30 when moving or looking around and then it goes back up above 60 FPS again.

I've messed with all of the graphics settings to no avail, I was hoping someone here could help me find a solution.

Thanks.

I get drops to , I'm on a intel 2700k @ 5.0 ghz and gtx. 780ti sli on 1440p I get random drops to I think it has to do with shadows and the lighting indoors . Make sure vsyn in control panel and launcher are off, also go in to my documents then fallout 4 then go in to the fallout 4 .ini and hit cntrl plus f key search for I present interval set to 0 . Then lock your fps with a app like evga presion that helped me I also used a fallout 4 mod called shadow boost it ajusts shadow draw distance when u get low fps or high fps gave me a solid 57 to 70 fps in cities also turn down lighting to say medium then try then high , pretty sure it's a vsync issue in the ini . Also try un parking your cpu cores just Google it also helps fps in games, down load the fallout 4 tweak launcher it has many more options then the standard one .

Please just adjust your settings so they don't remove more shadows from indoor locations. It's been established that's their solution.
