Aiming Spotlights

Is there a way to aim spotlights up or down? I have a few sitting on top of a wall and want to aim them down towards the ground (where raiders would actually be), but when I place them they only light up straight ahead. Is that something that has to be done with a terminal?

Haven't tried it but maybe the terminal has stuff for it.

Probably find that if an enemy npc was to wander past it would lock onto him as it were

It seems (at least enemy spotlights) only lock on when you walk into their light... which is why I want to aim them down to where enemies are likely to be. It's hard to test because raiders are so random.

OK, just connected to a terminal, and there's only two options: Aim at anyone, and aim at hostile. So I checked aim at anyone, and now they seem to lock on even if I'm not directly in it's light.
