Want to build a super mutant behemoth

Post » Sun Jun 27, 2010 9:41 am

Basically we are putting together a group of people to build a full size super mutant behemoth in the Washington D.C. area, I don't have any approval to do this officially yet, this post is just to find out if anyone would be interested in volunteering to help out as this project would take rather large amounts of manpower. Right now I am just trying to gauge interest in such a project before I go through the trouble of actually getting approval to build this thing. If I can get say 25 or so volunteers to work on this I think it will be easily achievable and as such will be willing to do all I can to manage and fund this project, so fallout fans with a couple of hours to spare if you would contribute some of your time to this just let me know and I will get the ball rolling.

heh... that reminded me: A few years ago in the very center of my city, someone went and put a big (a bit more than life-size) statue of the Predator!
Admittedly, it was very skilfully constructed by various pieces of metal junk... but still... one of the weirdest things ever... the predator of all things!
Yet it was kind of a 'cult' thing I suppose. quite funny.

But I just can't take it seriously that someone would want to spend time on advertising further a well-selling product of a company that has already thrown a lot into promoting it. Even more so since the desired result seems to be something capable of scaring little children :D

It might as well be a joke, but damn!... Sometimes people come up with the weirdest ideas!

I live in New York City. A few years ago they adorned the city with larger-than-life-sized cows all over the city. Kinda weird if you ask me, but then I never did understand the "ART" world.

What are you going to make it out of? Making a normal Super Mutant would be fairly big as it is.

To scare by passers maybe?
It's Art Gizmo, you wouldn't understand :P

Actually I'd like to see the op coming back and giving us a 'status report'... I may be a dirty bastard but it'd be funny.
But alas, he just joined the forum to start this thread (and it's twin in the FO3 forums) and then he disappeared.
So... an odd kind of troll maybe?

Ironic thing to tell a professional illustrator & sculptor :biglaugh:
(but I'm guessing you may have known :P)

I asked because quite a lot of folks in D.C. were really put off by the Fallout 3 ads just prior to release.

I'd suggest lubing your butt holes up now before the secret service start doing cavity searches just to make things easier on yourself.
