Hey guys,

so the game updated and now when I go to load the game it gets to the second 'hint' animation on the loading screen and then crashes. Wtf right?!

I have updated all my Nvidia drivers, I even updated to the beta, I have verified the integrity of the game cache - an still crashes!!!

Wtf can I do to make my game work?!

Which update? The beta patch?

Is it just the one save that won't load? Can you start a new game?

Were you using mods? Doing the beta thing disables mods, I believe, so the missing mod might cause a crash when you try to load the game without it.

Something updated on the 15th.... maybe the 16th.. Im not sure - something updated and my game has not been working properly.

Continue point wont load.

Not using any mods - dont even know how to do that.

If you got an update that recently, then you have opted into the beta. Not sure why that would break your game, though.

If you can start a new game, then your game isn't broken but your current save might be. Do you have previous saves with that character you can try?

Have you had Steam check the integrity of your game files? You can try opting out of the beta and reverting your game to the current live version, that may allow your save to work again.

It's always a good idea to make periodic new saves ... not quicksaves or autosaves that can be overwritten, but new saves to keep and revert to in the even that for some reason your most up to date one gets corrupted.

Loaded another save data - worked and loaded fine. Thanks man - was getting super angry.. and im stoned right now lol

The real test of this Beta (both updates) is can you create a New Character and get all the way through the Vault, running from older saves outside of the Vault have proven that some Mods or Beta issues will run fine after the Vault but will crash the game at the beginning of a new game or inside the Vault itself???

Delete your Fallout4.ini in Documents. I had this Problem to but i used Mods but its worth for a try or?
