Ode to Rocket Turret

How I looked upon you with pride the first time I finally managed to hook you up to power...

(Even though I used 8 Power Conduits to connect you to a generator 20 meters away...)

How I spent dozens of hours meticulously placing you at all my settlements, in compulsive anticipation of future air-based attacks...

How I watched you turn raiders and supermutants into paint before I could even reach the Guard Post...

The tears of joy I cried the first time I saw two of you take down a vertibird in seconds...

The tears of anguish I cried when you blew up those traders walking by the settlement...

The tears of frustration as you ripped through the farmland, leaving burnt tatos in your wake...

The open-mouthed shock as you blew up the generator powering you...

How I spent dozens of hours meticulously moving you at all my settlements, in paranoid anticipation of future turret-based self-destruction... >8l

ROTFLMAO. Yup. Mine now all, cannot see anything inside or even possibly dangerous. Those things are crazy. Heavy Lasers are a much safer option.

The most use I ever found for a Missile Turret was placing just one at the Castle, after becoming enemies with the Brotherhood of Steel. The thing destroys Vertibirds in seconds.

I tend to stick with heavy lasers now, but if I can sneak a rocket turret in somewhere that doesn't have a field of fire to my generators/food resources, I'll still put one up. It's just too tempting.

I reload a lot, too. Sooo many dead traders...

That's why I always put a wall behind a rocket turret to prevent it from firing at certain directions (https://www.dropbox.com/s/psdnh2ezy1ll40n/2016-01-17_00001.jpg?raw=1), and have it point outward and never toward the settlement .

Rocket turrets can hurt your crops, your other turrets, and even *themselves*. If you put one near a structure, it may fire accidentally at the structure and get hit by its own splash damage.
