Assigning settlers to Power Armor, Can't do it...

Post » Fri Jan 22, 2016 1:33 pm

I was wanting to assign my Minutemen into T-60 Power Armor, in attempts to make the Minutemen similar to the Brotherhood of Steel. Come to find out I can't do that, very upsetting to me for such a minuscule feature not being added. Is it wrong or silly for me to ask Bethesda to add such a mechanic?

Yes that is odd that you can't do that. But if you just leave a it out in the open one of them might use it when the settlement gets attacked.

Ah, they might do it, but ugh I would just like to just tell them to get in it. (The chances of Sanctuary getting attacked is slim)

:thanks: :fallout:

If you play on PC, chances are a mod will come out or might already be out that would let you assign PA to settlers. I would hope that a future DLC gives us more to do as the "Leader" of the Minute Men. Such as getting people to join, assigning them to protect settlements and so on.

I think it would be great to have the Caste protected by people in Power Armour. Maybe even make a deal with the Atom Cats to custom paint the armor. Have one of them come to a location like the Caste to paint Minute Men colors and such on the PA. I have well over a dozen PA already and I could have a lot more than that if I didn't stop collecting it. So why not outfit settlers/minute men with it?

I play on Xbox one (hopefully mods come soon) and I totally agree with what you're saying. I really wish that you could put any paint on any Power Armor, like the Minutemen paint on the T-60, hopefully Bethesda actually takes our feedback and makes the game so much cooler! :disguise: :tops: :fallout:

Bethesda have been rolling out patches on PC, which includes stuff like telling you what settlers are assigned to. Im assuming they'll patch this in or one-up it in DLC (like allowing you to make robots for a settlement. Id take a sentry over a powerarmoured nitwit anyday)

These updates wont be as frequent for console but will come in-bulk. Its standard stuff with bethesdas games, nowdays; PC tests the fixes, player requests and updates, console wait.

Thanks for the update. I personally take the Powered Armored nitwit because it's still human ;)

I leave a bunch of PA at my settlements, but they usually hop out to go to bed even if they do use them in an attack. I actually lost one frame once when a raider jumped in a suit lol.

Chance is, raider might use it as well. In which case you will loose suit of power armor. Well, it's frame at last.

if u want settlers to use the power armor put the frame near a guard post , ( unconfirmed ) but at least a raider won't take it

also be prepared to repair all pieces after each attack : 6 pieces * 21 settlers
