Spoils of War bug!

* SPOILERS *

Has anyone experienced the following bug and, if so, how did you fix it?

I have been carefully balancing my relationship with 3 factions (BOS, minutemen and Institute) to maximize the number of quests I can do for them before I had to make a choice and seem to have messed something up between Mass Fusion and Spoils of War.

I started Mass Fusion and met Allie Filmore at the building. Went through all the steps and ended up handing over the beryllium agitator to her when I FT'd back to the institute. As soon as that quest completed, I started Spoils of War. I boarded the vertibird to Mass Fusion Rooftop and I was notified that I was now an enemy of the Institute. I proceed to jump on the roof of Mass Fusion but the quest marker just sat on the roof and the quest would not move forward after that. I have no idea if there is any way to correct this. I am not enemies with the BOS at this point but I did complete Defend The Castle (against the institute) and, as soon as the quest was complete, I failed all open BOS quests, including Spoils of War.

Unfortunately, my last save point is right after giving the agitator to Allie Filmore, before getting kicked out of the institute. I wanted to side with the BOS but this bug ended up removing that option without actually making me enemies of the BOS. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Well I sided with BoS as well.. But me I did side missions with the other factions and only started spoils of war after this. If you choose to do spoils of war and mass fusion with any ONE faction you side with them, so basically this isn't a bug. Hope this helps

So completing Mass Fusion didn't make me an enemy of BoS, but boarding the vertibird for Spoils of War made me an enemy of the institute, even though I had already given the agitator to Allie. This is what confuses me. I could no longer complete the BoS quest because the institute had the agitator but I wasn't their enemy either. I can still go do side missions with BoS, just not the main quest. I feel like this is an unintended path for the main quest.

what you have done is tried to sat friends with all factions. Am I right, well you have mucked up your game slightly because starting mass fusion (phase 3) you will instantly side with that faction, therefore you have ruined it by passing the agiator to the institute and then starting mass fusion with BoS, I feel bad for you as this was just a mistake and you clearly just wanted to get your all out the game

You are correct. I wasn't aware, at the time, that those quests would force an alliance with either faction. However, like you said, it seems to have messed up the game a bit. I was just hoping that I could fix it since I have a save point right before I make either faction an enemy.

I may go back to the save and try to complete more BoS side missions to see if it resets any of my options...but I doubt it.

Thanks for the reply Mini!

No prob man, best of luck! I'd defo recommend you back. But don't hand the agiator to anyone yet until you've decided you want to side with one of these factions, I recommend switching this message off until you done the side missions you want to do. Good job you saved it
