How did you defeat these fire wielding raiders?

I would like to try this quest again but the fire is keeping me away.

Combat rifle from far is great, if they get close combat shotgun, need to kill them quick or the flamethrowers will hurt! I think they're high ish level too. (40?)

I never even noticed these guys. At that point I was a ninja. They died before they knew what hit them.

What about mini nuke? I have a few of those.. Do they have a wide AOE?

The Mini Nuke will work, but you'll probably kill Jake and the tied up settler too. I would suggest getting a suit of Power Armor. If your Armorer is high enough you can also build Asbestos Lining on your regular torso armor, that should help with the fire.

I had Asbestos before and my character was still catching on fire.. taking damage..

Power armor protects from fire or just damage? I have the suit the BOS gave me.
