Every annoying Npc is essential "smart"

I give her a good riflebutt bash from time to time if she's yapping too much. Can't wait for mod to make some of this annoying yappers unessential.

In Preston's defence he is totally willing to come help. You assigned him to tatos and corn.

There is no defence for Marcy. I guess we just need to wait until they put in the wood chipper in the settlement DLC.

Just out of interest, to those who are hard set to kill Marcy. Is she killable

Spoiler
after you have killed Mama Murphy with overdose, since according to something I read, Longs should have slight part in what follows

Why would I kill my porch light for Benirus Manor? I had him standing there with a torch, just far enough away from the door so I wouldn't trigger his dialogue...it was great :)

The game is pretty much written so you can fail except for the occasional death from bad planning on your part.

You're absolutely right, of course. Shooting her would be an unconscionable waste of ammo, machete is the answer. Remember people; reduce, reuse, recycle and reclaim the wasteland!

All the more joy that you can do it more than once.

The various crafting stations can be moved, just not the main (red) workbench.

You do know that you don't even need to use the main workbench, right? All of the workbenches are connected. I have a workshop built with all of my weapon/armor/chemistry/cooking/power armor stations in one location. I put a fast travel target in that building, and I just use one of those crafting stations to store all of my junk. By depositing it in any of those stations, it just goes to the workbench.

If you are using a bash patch, you should be able to edit them all in the last plugin. See if you can set Player to essential and adjust their AI Data.

Because Bethesda loves making annoying characters and then making it so you can't kill them. It's their thing, I think they enjoy knowing somewhere a player will be raging they can't kill one of the most useless characters in the game.

I really wish the game would let me rip Piper's head off. I am so sick of her calling me blue while also not letting me tell her she is wrong in her infinite omnipotence about knowing my "forced origin"
