So i have read multiple performance benchmarks and it seems fallout 4 benefits from faster speed ram. All the test i saw where up to a maximum memory speed of 2400mhz i'm curious as to the point of diminishing returns. ddr4 is available right now at speeds of 3866mhz i'm curious to see how far memory speed can scale. the benchmark from the gamespot forums does a great job of showing this with a test system with an i7 4770k Gtx 980ti and ddr3 memory at 1133mhz and 2400mhz and the differences are:
1080p
1133mhz min 51 fps max 72 fps
2400mhz min 85 fps max 106 fps
so anyone out their running over 2400mhz ram?
i'd like to investigate this myself but i have ddr4 2400 and can't afford to go out and buy more memory for an experiment. So if you do have over 2400mhz we can come up with a standardised benchmark area and run at max setting 1080p
i could always overclock and see how far i get and i imagine not many people have ram faster that 2400mhz, but if you out there feel free to post and even if you don't have faster ram feel free to post with speculation or facts as why this game see's large improvements in performance from ram speed when most games dont see any difference in performance at all.
