Quincy Ruins DLC?

Post » Mon Jan 25, 2016 3:37 pm

How about a DLC where:

-Preston Garvey tells you a fully detailed story about Quincy Ruins and the events that took place.

-A flashback which the player (as a Minuteman who fights along side Preston) is in Quincy and his/her action affects how Preston tells the story.

-The player eventually falls in battle as Preston escapes.

-After the flashback ends, Preston makes a request (QUEUE THE FALLOUT THEME SONG) to take back Quincy Ruins alongside the Minutemen. (If any named Gunners were killed prior to this DLC, they will be replaced with other named Gunners who can be interacted with to at least characterise who the Gunners were)

-After Quincy Ruins has been successfully recaptured, it can become either become a new settlement which the player has full control of, or ends up like Diamond City.

-Preston will walk over to where the player-controlled Minuteman died and mourn.?

No. For the love of all that is holy no.

Preston is probably the most hated companion in the fallout series by this point. Not necessary because of his character, which is bland, but because of the incessant quests that he gives.

To be honest I was surprised you couldnt retake Quincy, especially considering how nice it would be as a functional settlement (bigger than Bunker Hill and Good Neighbour aint it?).

I think I'd sooner play Mothership Zeta again than play a DLC that involves Preston. Well, then again...uh, I don't know. But to even make me consider playing Mothership Zeta again over Preston DLC says enough.

Preston made e crack up after the main quest for the Minutemen because of the last line he says afterwards, you can guess

Preston isn't a bad character but people prefer to get mad at him instead of Bethesda who forgot to add the option to turn down his quest( [censored] logic I guess). That side I don't want Minuteman DLC. Bethesda botched them so badly they are probably made the most hated faction in Fallout. And the Minuteman are the faction we're suppose to like.

Perhaps a quest to retake Quincy as a way to calm the wasteland rather than avenge the Minutemen.

Any faction might be somewhat interested in that. BoS could use a town (on the ground) to operate out of, Institute could use it to try to reduce hostilities by getting people used to the presence of synths and the luxuries of Institute life there, RR could just use it as a new fundamentally allied settlement, and of course Minutemen...

Would also be fun to be able to join The Gunners and seek out Preston Garvey and his crew of miscreants. I'd rather work with them than with Preston
