My power armor disappeared

Did it disappear on you too? I had 2 power armors. One at the museum of freedom and the other one at the castle. They're both gone..

Did you leave your keys in the ignition? A fusion core in it, allows anyone to take it.

Yup - any suit with a Fusion Core in it is fair game. Look in the vicinity to see if you can spot it in case a Settler roamed in it.

If you can't find them, there are spare frames with partial suits all over the wasteland. There is one near the Robotics Disposal Ground/Olivia area, several in maglocked trains around the place (south of Tenpines for example) and one frame sold by KLE0.

I lost one parked (with core removed) in KL-E-0 s shop.

I'm assuming the cell reset.

So I'm careful to park Power Armors in my settlements and not leave them 'in the wild' for too long.

There are plenty of frames, I have 26 of them at main base in various stages of construction.

I never lost a PA. I always take out the fusion core. But the idea with cell reset could be correct - never thought of it.

I have PA at several settlements, in PA stations, without fusion cores - never lost one. I always park them in settlements. I have around 8 or so, complete and incomplete in Red Rocket, also never lost one.

If you lost one at the castle (settlement), you probably left a fusion core in it. And I read here, that sometimes even PA without fusion core is taken by a settler in case of an attack, but I never saw it myself.

Aha, that probably explains why a power armor disappeared from Cambridge Police station in my first play through.

Remember when putting a core back in that by default it will use the "first" fusion core which is usually a 100/100 full one rather than the one with least charge. It is a real pain when you forget and end up with a load of 99/100 non-stackable cores.

EDIT : And if you find an unowned suit with a fresh core in it, take it out and replace it with your lowest charge one for the same reason.

Oh, and for a laugh, if you are able to pull it off, VATS the Fusion core in an enemy suit from behind in Stealth (you have to be close). Talk about a Hot Foot! Clint at Quincy got what he deserved!

I wish I could lose a few sets. I currently have over 30 frames with various parts distributed about. The only ones I ever use are my hot-pink X-01 and my "Super VATS" X-01. I keep the pink at Sanctuary and the "SV" at Finch Farm. Don't use 'em often, but, sometimes I like to pink-up and head out with Danse.

If you have the Penetrator perk, then you don't need to fire at it from behind. I find the only problem is that certain companions hate when you loot the power armor since it is labeled as stealing.

Had a problem yesterday where most of my power armor had their equipment switched to T-45. My 3 variations of BOS Power Armor just had their mods removed. Not sure if it was some npc prankster or the result of some mod I just installed.

To prevent your PA get stolen, I use 2 basic rulezzz: :sb: :

- remove the fusion core

- make sure that an NPC has to jump to get to your PA, as an example, build a fence for the entrance,

works for me
