Let our creations be shared

Good afternoon fellow dwellers,

I have been playing fallout for awhile now, and my girlfriend and I have had an amazing experience with the settlement system. The whole decorating and personalization aspect of the game really bring the game to life and I think that is what makes it such a great game to play. I have a few ideas that I would want to see in a possible future dlc, or patch.

First of all, I would like a system that could allow us to visit someone else's settlement and/or potentially work together to fight off a huge invasion or something. To do so, I think each person would designate one of their settlements as their home base and friends or other players can come and visit or maybe even invade your settlement( much like how in dark souls other players can join your game). Furthermore, I would also like to add a system in which you can leave weapons that you want to share in containers so your friends can have access to weapons where they otherwise wouldn't have. This can work both ways, and I think it would give the game more of a dynamic feel to it and really bring it to life.

Secondly, i would like to see a more interactions between our settlements and our actual combat experience. For instance, we can send a group of settlers to go hunt and they could bring back rare food/plants/weapons that we otherwise wouldn't have access to. This I feel will make the settlement system seem more rewarding and add another layer to obtain rare weapons.

Lastly, just overall more figure and customization options. But, I am sure that will come with later dlcs. I am just hoping for more personalized set peices and more options to make your settlements do more in supplying/supporting you in combat, so you can be more of a strategic commander rather than simply being the best fighter.

Thanks for reading and I apologize if these suggestions have already been mentioned.

Bethesda looked towards the sims 4 when making their character creation system, I think they could look again to the sims in regards to how players can quickly upload and download UGC.

The sims has a gallery built into the game that allows you to plugin in custom houses and sims with a click of a button. Finding cool stuff is simple and sharing your creations is just as easy.

If Bethesda was able to roll out a custom settler and settlement gallery, I think it would bring the settlement system one step closer to feeling complete.

Ah yes, that personalization aspect is something that will certainly make the game more realistic and unique. But instead of drawing from a game like sim 4, i feel like we should draw from a game like clash of clans. It's a game that's huge on the mobile market, and it consist of you building you own city and invading and defending others from attacking your city. I guess, I am intrigued by the idea of adding a multiplayer aspect to the game, and I feel that it would help fallout in keeping a consistent player base. To me, it would be like going into a maze whenever you try to invade someone else. Different players will set different traps, turrets, and etc to try to stop you, and you are trying to infiltrate someones well designed fortress. But, anyhow, just my thought.

Well....

Its possible NOW.

Yes not kidding there is already a Beta Settlement Ripper being developed and PC users can in fact successfully rip Vanilla Assets from save games and put them into a brand spanking new or existing save game.

In fact right now its being put through the paces of being able to port Mod Content for Settlements into save games.

I was thinking about trying it out myself.

Now this is what the mod community has been up to.

Not sure about Bethsada but right now we PC users can do it and I hear its almost there to port Mod Assets, as long as the other users have the same mods of course.

When it is, I myself have some very interesting settlements with a whole lot of detail work done that would blow your mind to share with the community...So fingers crossed this uh save settlement ripper can move Mod Content to new saves :)
