Settlers want me dead! Help!?

Post » Mon Jan 25, 2016 1:50 pm

So i build a massive city above finch farm on the high way, on the ground i build a massive wall with 245 defense and somehow got 28 settlers and equipped them with gauss rifles, fat man's and Gatling guns. I was walking around in my power armor and wanted to equip my sniper and check i the sattelite station nearby because i noticed super mutants there when i was in the city. Unfortunately i had no weapon equipped, pressed the "R2 button" on my ps4 twice and punched the Brahimin that was standing right in front of me...?? Right after that my settlers went ape[censored] and i had to run for my life... My autosave had overwritten my most recent saves and going back further means i will lose a lot.. I there any way to get my settlers back to loving me again?? I don't want to kill them all... Codsworth and Nick Valentine live there.. I don't want to kill them???? what do i do??? Wil they calm them if i leave them be or will they keep firing Nukes at me every time i com close to finch farm?

I suggest going away for a while.

In my experience they will have gotten over it when you return.

Other than that.

Destroy them. Leave no survivors. Take out the brahmin, too. Then eat it.

....or just go away for a while. Things will go back to normal in time.

Both those suggestions sound good, but I always go with the no one ever shoots at me and gets away with it approach >.>.

Wow, that's certainly a predicament to be in. I'd sleep in game for 3 days. If that doesn't work, try 30. If that fails, equipped yourself with the best arsenal of weapons in your inventory and go in guns blazing!

If it were me, I'd go in stealthily at night with a silenced 9mm and pick them off one by one, preferably while they're sleeping if you supplied them with beds. The trick would be figuring out how to maneuver around Codsworth and Valentine.

Waiting seems to deal with hostility mistakes like attack guards.

Just leave for 24-48 in game hours and then come back. That'll give them enough time to get over it.

I've killed a lot of settlers... mostly bc one a synth shoots as me for no reason... almost every settler starts shooting at me. So I kill them all and start over. Kind of fun letting them know who's boss.

I put too much work into dressing equipping and assigning settlers to kill them all off and start over.

Save more often.

If there are Brahmins in settlements, don't harm them. It happens to me several times, caravan brahmins inside the house where I have containers with loot. When I tried to open one of these containers I did hurt the Brahmin a little and every settlers attacked me. No loss, since I reload and waited for Brahmin to exit house.

Cheers,

That happened to me once when I was wearing power armor and I jumped off the top of the amazing shelter I made my settlers. I landed and I heard a lot of "Oooof!"s and suddenly everyone was after me, even my loyal Codsworth.

HeHe. You reminded me.

I was outside Concord and one of the caravan guards was there, sitting on the ground with his employer.

As usual he gave me some lip so i thought i would tea bag him.

Unfortunately I was in power armour and somehow managed to trigger splashdown damage from a little skip.

Everyone attacked me, so my companion fought back on my behalf.

The game banished the companion for attacking innocents and wanted to send her away.

The companion hated me for that and started attacking me too.

All that from a little tea bagging.

I never know when settlers and special NPC like Cods and Nick would cool down, but I suggest sniping all of your settlers without them around.

Btw, I used to jump over a Brahmin in Tenpines and suddenly one my settlers shot me. Of course I killed him in an instant. And guess what? Everyone gang bang me, except Strong. But Strong wouldn't shoot them and help me.

In the MQ at the castle I shot a settler by mistake and all settlers became hostile but no companions or MM did so I executed the settlers at the end as the others watched.

I think if you hit the Brahman, make sure you finish it off and make sure there aren't any witnesses.

When i execute an npc i go to the settlement when everyone is asleep.

Bethesda is very protective of its farm animals.

I recall the chaos that ensued after I killed a chicken in Riverwood...
