Did anyone else feel bad resetting the synths?

On the Bunker Hill mission, when you go to deactivate them, I decided to talk to all of them before issuing the code...Does anyone else feel like they're conscious beings? I felt really bad doing but but idk. I'm still torn between the Institute being right about them or the Railroad.

Thoughts?

They think they are conscious beings.

That's all I needed to know to blow the Courser's head off.

Gabriel has turned Raider, reset is a pleasant alternative to not having a head.

Nope. Killed all at Bunker Hill and let Gabriel get reset. Silly robots think they're people.

Nah, felt about doing something necessary, basicly recovering something that has been stolen 'cause of incompetent activists and that could've been turned against its own creators due to these activists will.

Better reset them than destroy them.

Setting them free altogether has a stake of risk that you wouldn't want to take knowing knowing they're likely to become raiders or to face danger and hostility from the wastelanders.

A little, then I reset them and got over it with a refreshing Nuka Cola

Talking to theme made you feel like they were conscious beings? It was the exact opposite for me. I talked to them thinking "Okay, I'll hear you out, you'll tell me your sob story, then I will have to explain to Father how this Courser died and you all got away." Instead, I got a bunch of responses from these...toasters, that didn't know why they wanted to be free. Seriously I get more sentient responses asking Google for driving directions.
