"Dungeons" too linear?

I think I am getting tired of almost every "dungeon" in this game being so very linear.

OK, there are some that are more open and "sandbox-y" like Fallons, down south, but it just seems too contrived that almost every building I go into has fallen apart in such a way that there is really only 1 twisted maze-like path all the way through it to your goal, with a convenient elevator or chained door at the end to let you out.

I'd really appreciate some more sandbox type environments indoors with more than 1 path to my objective.

Maybe I'm just reaching here,...it is a video game I suppose, but meh, seems like the level design for most of these interiors could be way better (more creative).

Also, IMO there are too many places where you have to "take a leap of faith" and just jump down into a pit or something and hope you can get back out at the end. There's NO WAY I would do anything like that in a real-world scenario.

What does everyone else think?

Am I off being too hard on things here? Or maybe just overlooking something?

I haven't noticed much linearity but I have really good suspension of disbelief so I miss a lot that piss other people off.

On your leap of faith issue I can only say jet pack. [censored] yeah.
