Hi people.

I have just reached max affinity with preston garvey. When I try to dismiss him the option is not there. He just says are we ready to take the castle. The options in dialogue are yes,no,later or what happened there. Every time I click on either option the dialogue is the same with no option to dismiss. I haven't taken the castle yet,and I also have a few quests to do for him. I can still recieve and complete quests for him.

The only way I can dismiss him is if I choose another follower. But he then walks around sanctury and I cannot assign him to anything...the option isn't there.

Is this normal or is something wrong?

I had a similar issue, but I wanted him to get out of his power armor... In the end I had to do the castle quest in order to get my armor back (and keep him as a companion, because you can't steal fusion cores from companions..), which svcks but there was no other way.

To me it seems to be an oversight by Bethesda that maybe should get fixed, as it blocks your freedom of choice with Preston.
