So wheres me bloomin DLC mate?

Post » Fri Jan 29, 2016 12:38 pm

Any word on when the first DLC will arrive? I mean they put out a season pass when the game launched so one would think they would have some DLC for us soon, of course it would probably be silly for anyone to buy the thing since they did not have any information on what you get with the season pass but I am sure that there are probably more than a few of you bought it so hopefully whatever they do put out does not disappoint.

So any ideas when the DLC is comming out and what to expect from it? What would you like to see? Ghoulification? The ability to infect yourself with the FEV? Perhaps even a mutant strain of FEV that gives you tentacles and a role in advlt films?

They've said they'll have news soon. But with the time it takes them to release patches I'm shocked to get DLC within 6 months of release.

Has there been any word on the creation kit yet?

Fallout 3's 5 smaller DLCs emerged c. 3,6,7,9 11 months after release.

Skyrim's 2 larger ones c. 8 and 13 months post-launch.

So if in line with past practice, we could get a small DLC as early as mid-February or a large one in June.

Aside of such fairly obvious truths I'm not convinced of the need for a series of 'are we there yet' threads - DLC will emerge in time.

Oh come now SofaJockey if you are going to be selling a season pass you at least gotta give an idea of what it contains and when we can expect it, at least some titles and a time frame.

That's a fair challenge, season passes have indeed been sold and you're right, it would nice to have some indication of a 'direction of travel'

Though I'm not sure that 'so where's me bloomin dlc mate' is a measured enquiry for such an update B)

Incidentally, and amazingly Bethesda's commitments were no more than:

'we don’t know what the actual DLC will be yet, but it will start coming early next year'

So it kind of depends on what 'early' means - if early next year is before mid next year, it could be anytime up to the end of April, latest.

No commitments were made by Bethesda as to what it would be.

Don't put too much pressure on them. I want a decent sized dlc with nothing having to be cut out due to meeting release dates.

Stay in your shoes, y'all.

We're not even 90 days since initial release yet.

I'm more surprised at how slow the patches are rolling out.
