Modding Issues: Merging mods and a WorkBench Issue

Post » Fri Jan 29, 2016 3:10 pm

Having the latest FO4Editor, I run into a snag when it comes to merging mods.

I succeeded to merge quite a few simple single-group mods, but when I try to add a multi-group mod to another mod file, it tells me it wants to "add the parent mod", or something in that area.

Now, I am merging mods to get a nice, single-filed mod that contains all, but no matter what I try, the newly created mod "is depending on the parent mod".

Not too stupid as I am, I checked for compatibility issues/conflicts between the mods, and though there are a few minor, most do not conflict in the data.

Which leaves me baffled: I can't merge 2 of the same mods even (the parent and an update) for example, which to me is a bloody frustrating issue.

My reason for this post: is there a tool or a way that can overcome this bloody annoyance somehow?

I'd be very grateful.

Otherwise: I came across this nice house, with black marble floor tiles, a big fire a the staircase, overall a nifty, cosy place to call home.

Or so I thought!

I spawn myself a nifty workbench after eradicating the hostiles, and i begin to clean house.

Which works pretty darned well.

What I cannot remove by WB, I simply disable.

But here's the odd thing: where I can remove all stuff... I cannot add a bloody thing.

The floor simply does not allow anything to be placed upon it, items fall through the ground.

I tried several options like the clip/noclip commands, but to no avail.

Is here something that I can alter, so I can finally fix my place up?

Or is this entirely impossible, and making me look for a different home?

Thank you in advance.
