Game Stupidity #1

Post » Sat Jan 30, 2016 10:37 pm

I fully love the art of sneaking and stealth in a game as an option for style of play, and one which I tend to favour.

But come on Bethesda, being able to stay HIDDEN in sneak mode (especially in buildings where acoustics apply) whilst inside Power Armor which no matter how much of a sneaky so-n-so you are or how slowly you place each step...... YOU'RE WEARING POWER ARMOR AND YET CAN REMAIN UNDETECTED!!!

Stupid

The game should make you take a decision to either use the PA and take a more direct tank style, or exit it some distance away (or not use it at all) so the art of ninja tactics is available.

Sneak just shouldn't be allowed in PA period. Squat to get a better chance to hit maybe, but no sneak option.

I totally agree. PA makes all kinds of noise when walking around, I wouldn't expect it to be any better while sneaking.

Sneak is why so many people complain this game to be sooooooo easy.

(The game is not easy on very hard if you just give up damn sneak)

1. People go sneak build

2. They avoid Entire battle

3. Complain about game being too easy

4, I do not understand

Anyway, I agree that power armor may need bit more weakness such as severe penalty to sneak ability.

It is kinda considered official way to cheat the game right now. :liplick:

Ehh it is what it is. I mean you go to a raider base and clear out everyone but a few not even stealthy like but the remaining residents don't seem to care all their buddies just got taken out or their own life will be in danger. Just the way the AI is, would have to re work the whole system. Not saying it wouldn't be good but not likely in this games future.

I think PA does have a sneak penalty, but it's not big enough.

If you are going to take away my power armor.. then offer me an armor in exchange that doesn't look like pvc pipe or a bulky mess. The other armors are crap. And in reality... who wouldn't use power armor when going into a highly radioactive/ deadly area. I wish they would have more like a Chinese stealth suit or some type of exo-suit that looks alright.

But for right now.. I guess I will sneak and snipe around in Power Armor until we get a decent suit of armor. Don't ruin this for me

Who needs PA in sneak mode anyway?

sneak/sniper/vats build...

12 shots in vats with a sniper modded guardian, silenced.

you don't even need a sidearm with that.

i'm using stimpacks/water/food as currency ;)

so why should i shove myself into that ugly frame (and UI)?

I find Power Armor unnecessary unless it's for tough open combat situations. While you're right that anything that heavy being quiet enough to sneak in goes against their description of what works and doesn't work for sneaking, you probably don't NEED to be using it for quests you're mostly sneaking in.
