Dear bethesda, I know that Turrets are 99999% more effective than settlers guards. But for the sake of aesthetics, could you please include in an update that makes it so the guards do NOT leave their posts to chase after the enemy please?
The reason why is because my defense is a bit different from others because it funnels the enemy in to a deathtrap: You see, I built small labyrinth that enemies must run through in order to enter my settement. I have guards stationed on high ground that IDEALLY should stay in their position and wait for the enemy to come in one by one, and then shoot at them.
But alas, because they cannot see the enemy, the guards abandon their strategic positions to chase after them!
I was careful to make that the enemy's ai pathing worked as I wanted it by spawning them on the opposite outer side of my entrance. Sure as rain, they always run toward my entrance
