Hi, I've been playing Fallout 4 for a while now and there you can't wait/rest unless you're on a chair, bed, etcetera.

When I got back to Skyrim it felt uncomfortable to be able to pass time anywhere, are there any mods that enable this functionality to help immersion?

That's funny, I'm waiting for the reverse for Fallout.
