Custom Enchantment Effect Magnitudes?

Post » Sun Jan 31, 2016 8:12 pm

Is there a mod that allows a player to set custom magnitudes for the effects that they choose to enchant items with? For example, every time I try to enchant a weapon, the magnitude for effects always goes "1-10-20-30-...", and doesn't allow me to enter a value that's anything less than a multiple of ten. Similar problem with enchanting wearable items -- I'd much rather have the choice of what magnitude(s) the effects I apply to my clothing, jewelry, or armor have, instead of just having a fixed value thrown at me.

I'm not sure what you're asking for here really as you can already adjust enchantment values per use when creating an item. If you are unable to change these enchantment values when creating an item then something is wrong with your game is normally you can adjust those numbers when enchanting. Using different levels of filled soul gems and having different Enchanting skill levels will change the numbers as well.

If you're asking for finer control I think that is hard coded - meaning there are levels of enchantment power and what values each level takes is not changeable precisely, just your skill and other factors can be taken into account when creating the item as it lets you choose between the various power levels. You can play around with this to some degree in the CK by changing how "costly" each magical effect is when used in crafting an item which will in effect alter how big the jumps are along the power slider for a given level but getting perfect control where you enter the exact number you want an enchantment to use is not possible to my knowledge.

Yeah, that's a better way to describe what I'm looking for -- a mod that gives players a more fine-tuned magnitude slider for weapon enchantments, and a similar magnitude slider enabled for armor/clothing/jewelry enchantments. If it's hard coded into the game as you said, then that's a little disappointing. Thanks for your help anyway. (b")b

As Urtho also said... if the slider isn't allowing less than increments of ten, then your game is messed up.

There's no point to having a magnitude slider for apparel enchants, as they're all constant effect. It'd only be a waste to enchant anything less for apparel enchant magnitudes than what the applied soul size and Enchantment skill/perks/alchemical buffings will allow.
