Hancock is dead and no one will talk to me

Yesterday, I finished The Nuclear Option and blew up the Institute for the Railroad. When we got outside to watch the thing blow up, Hancock (who was with me before I entered the Institute) was standing behind me with arms straight out and his elbows bent downwards. His inventory list was on the screen with the options to talk to him and to trade. The talk option did nothing. I figured something had bugged and Hancock was dead. I tried shooting him in case he was frozen, but he just crumpled to the ground. I figured there was nothing I could do, and as much as I love Hancock, I had already gotten all of his approval checks and everything so I decided to move on.

I fast traveled to my base in Red Rocket. Tried to get my companions to travel with me, but all they would say was their variation on, "ready to head back out?" I had no option to respond. I tried this with all of my companions. Tried sleeping, no change. Tried fast traveling, no change there either. I even tried shooting my companions until they fell to see if I could give them a stimpack, but I couldn't. I restarted and reloaded everything, came back today, and nothing had changed.

Did something seriously glitch after I finished the main quest? How can I fix it?

Thanks,

Spacetime
