Hey again, I'm thinking about starting up the old Morrowind another time, and I was wondering if there are any good body replacers that aren't better bodies, I always just found better bodies to be cold and lifeless, and smoother bodies was just meh.
Are there other good ones that totally replace the bodies?
And seperately are the mods that make the characters and heads look a bit less realistic? Maybe more cutsie or something, I find that the hardcoe attempts at realism in a game with bad graphics just looks strange.

I know none besides those already mentioned. Though Westly did some replacers for better bodies a while ago (more details/hig rez). He also made some awesome face replacers which keep with the spirit of the original game. That thread should be 1 or 2 pages away. Anyway if you have MGE and the right shaders, the faces/bodies won't look out of place

As far as meshes go, there aren't many. It's pretty much BB or bust. A few people did make models that are unique, but they aren't going to have much support (clothing, armor, etc.)

That said, there are some very good BB textures now. Seriously good. As a bonus, BB has great support from modders.

yeah there is a high rez texture replacer for better bodies. though i still prefer better fit bodies. but as mentioned the texture replacers for better bodies really do help

Unfortunately for anyone who doesn't like it, Better Bodies is the standard body for Morrowind. Smoother bodies (which really weren't, I never understood that) have passed and BB is almost alone in clothing support (beyond the vanilla bodies, anymore). There aren't many, if any, other replacers. While some people don't like it, having a standard is actually a good thing, simplifies modding.

Now, there are quite a few mods for BB. We have Westly's textures, a few others have made textures, someone did an asymmetric body, higher resolution meshes and textures, fixed hands... If you find the base BB lifeless, grab the latest version of it and look around for mods for it. I know there are a few little ones hanging around that are usually forgotten, too (Qarl did a glowing tattooed BB mesh, Slof did something similar, a few others have tweaked them).

Westly's heads are by far the highest quality, IMO. Photorealistic and for the most part, quite attractive, so that may help. You could also try some of Qarl's heads or just look around for head packs. There's plenty of variety there.
