I was a bit excited for it, thought I was going to enter this heart-wrenching story. Yeah that didn't happen, would have been more interesting if you were just another Vault Dweller with no backstory that was frozen.

I honestly don't mind the family angle. It was alright in 3 and 4 but it may be the reason why I preferred New Vegas story. I like the freedom it afforded to role play. And I seriously doubt if I would have (F NV spoiler)

Four's family story (imo) would have been improved if they would have given us a little more time to get to know them in the old world, to develop more of an a sense of attachment to our spouse and baby, since that's the route they took. Since I really didn't get to know them, it just didn't have the emotional impact for me.

I hope we're born outside a vault in Fallout 5. I wouldn't mind being raised by raiders, farmers, or ex BoS members.
