So...I thought this feature was here to stay after New Vegas. Turns out....we have to rely on the scrounger perk just to get more ammunition without always buying it. Will there be a dlc or a download patch that will bring that back?

It came in handy when you were low on ammunition on certain automatic rifles and guns. Really loved Hand Loader and Junk Rounds. That....and it came in handy when you needed to recharge power cells on laser weapons. It kept you full on ammo and not having to worry about always conserving.

Does anyone think we'll ever see this again or is New Vegas the only game that's ever going to be in?

If you play on PC, there are already mods that allow you to craft ammo from scrap stuff. I haven't found one that lets you break down other ammo for some of what you need though.....

I think beth 'moved' the 'different types of ammo' to the weapon receiver instead..... That's why we see 'armor piercing receiver', etc.
