Settlement... Issues

Post » Tue Feb 02, 2016 11:07 pm

Right, not sure if this has been raised before so here goes..

I have noticed almost constantly on my new game ( and fairly frequently on my other game) that on the pip-boy map screen and workshops page it will say a totally different number of settlers in a location to the number actually there when you go to the location. For example, just now my pip-boy said there was only one person at The Slog, but when I went there there was actually the basic amount the settlement starts with (no recruitment becon there yet).

Is this deliberate (ie a hint that there are actually x number of synthetic there) or a bug?

I have also noticed on both games that occasionally a settlement shows as having zero beds there when I know for a fact that I have built more beds there than ththere are settlers and the beds are all accessible to the settlers.

I have this problem sometimes too. My pop will jump by like five and when I check it goes down again. I believe it is a bug.

Mine too. I was shocked when Starlight (formerly 28) showed up as 6 and Sunshine (formerly 23) as 2.

As soon as I went there, everything was back to normal.

Just plain weird.

Also: Why does Greentop always show at 95-98% happiness when they are set up exactly the same as my other settlements (right down to defense, number of settlers, shops, food, water, etc...) while none of the rest every get much above the 78-83% mark?

Glad it's not just me and that it's going to be fixed, wish I had the mod to allow me to repair the houses is Sanctuary too, but I'm playing on a PS4.

And now I have a problem that's been raised before - I had the pop-up saying help defend Sanctuary Hills, jumped there and helped the gun turrets shred the dozen attacking raiders and an hour of real time and no further attacks later... it STILL says help defend Sanctuary Hills!

Maybe it's from the evil of booze or the evil of Marci?

I had one like that for a while. Eventually it dropped off as failed though, so, problem solved.

A few days ago, I tossed a smoke grenade into a raider camp, but nothing happened. Just waited for several minutes until I went to double check my range on the map, even though I knew I was really close to one of my artillery camps, and found that the settlement in question was marked as having zero settlers.

Traveled there and everything was fine. All three settlers were there and the gun was manned like it's supposed to be. Went back and tried again and everything worked this time.

Just an annoying bug that I hope the patch squashes as promised.
