Thank goodness you cleared that up for us.
What!? Seriously!?
All these years I had no idea!
Damn, and here I thought the protagonist was frozen in 1750.
some people feel this strange need to correct others.
whether they need it or not.
i hav a strange need for cookies.
Wow... Hey now, I remember being a little kid in the 1950s, and one night Dad fell asleep at the wheel of our fusion powered Studebaker and wrecked it. I was glowing in the dark for months. And then that Vault-Tec guy kept coming around, said it was because my dad was veteran (Saipan, not Anchorage), but Dad told him to buzz off, he'd dig our own vault in the backyard. Yep, he brough home a backhoe and dug it out, dropped a train car in the hole and fitted it up with a fusioncore power generator, and put a spare Mr Handy in it before he covered it up again. Too bad he didn't leave an entrance, but he said when the bombs fell we'd all just burrow our way in like little mole rats...
I din't know what a mole rat was ( I was only five, after all), but I thought maybe it was like the beatnik next door who was always talking about "digging it"... At least he kept telling my Mom "I really dig you baby!"
You telling me all that didn't really happen in our universe?
Oh, hey dude, I was just kidding and having some fun with it. I really was a kid in the 1950s, eh? I didn't mean any harm.
You actually have examples? Because I've not actually seen any thread on this forum where they thought the game was set in the 50's.
It is a good thing that pop culture and style hasn't progressed in this game. We are not subjected to the horrors of Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus and we get to experience music that lots of us haven't heard before. Who among us has actually heard Atom Bomb Baby, The End of the World, and Call Out Through the Fallout before playing Fallout?
