npc settlement leaders

how about we can assign an npc, ie. cait, as a leader of a single settlement. helps boost happiness, efficiency, etc. maybe that way, i can actually get the benevolent leader.

I wonder if that was cut. I seem to remember either hearing in the E3 presentation, or reading it in the subsequent info releases that you could assign companions to run settlements for you. Either that was cut, or I'm misremembering.

Actually, every settlement already has a leader. Although the only purpose of this leader is to act as a quest-giver.





The only place I heard this was the perk speculation thread in this forum. It was pure speculation not backed up by any official information.

Except Cait would just get wasted and try to pick fights with the nearest Settler assigned to guard duty.



I'd also love to hear the preliminaries between Preston and Strong when election time rolled around.
