Ceiling Fan (and other lights) intermittent failures

Has anyone figured out what causes the intermittent failure of ceiling fans in built settlements?

Here is what happens.....set up buildings with ceiling fans. Have PLENTY of power. They spin and light up just fine. After a time (sometimes fast-traveling away sometimes not)....they still have light but they stop spinning. The quick fix is to store the fan in the workbench and then reinstall it. Lights back up and starts spinning again. Sooooo frustrating. I've seen the same behavior with the mirror-ball light and sometimes the high tech lights stop working.

Anyone?

All of the lights in general are somewhat prone to this. I have some really big builds that have hundreds of individual lights installed, and there are times that I'll show up and big sections of them will be off, or some random individual ones will be off. Occasionally they even all disappear. It always seems to fix itself after traveling away and back again later though. Saving and reloading the game doesn't seem to help.

It can be fixed manually like you described, or just by opening build mode, picking the light up, and hitting tab (or whatever cancels the action on console) to pop it back into place where it was previously. They always light back up after this in my experience, and this is at least easier than storing them and reinstalling them.
