When Freedom Calls

Post » Mon Feb 08, 2016 6:27 am

Playing on Xbox. I hate the Longs, Mama Murphy and Sturges. I hate how they whine, how they don't stay where I assign them, and that damned endless hammering on the craft house!

So for my post-patch playthru, I'm thinking of doing When Freedom Calls up to killing the Deathclaw. I want Sanctuary free of their idiocy, and the "craft house" as the town Bar and Grill.

My question: will the main quest force me at some point to finish that quest? Second question: what would happen if I finished it after the MQ when my Sanctuary is at full settler capacity? Would it just add those five??

There is a reason why some of these not happy. You will understand while doing MM questlines. You cannot get access to workbench without doing certain stuffs first. Cannot say much since this is G. D. forum.

Lol. I've done the minuteman quest line. It didn't interest me. And the Sanctuary Hills work bench can be accessed upon arrival (in my copy of the game) so there's no issue there. I realize I'd lose out on Independence, but I'm focusing resources on SH and maybe Nordhagen Beach later. As far as Marcy and Jun being unhappy. They lost their son. I've lost my wife, my kid, my world. Survivor pain > Long pain.

You don't need those disgrace of human beings to create settlements in all the map or the main quest. The quest like many others annoying and pedantic things on the game will stay in your pip boy until the end of time.

There might be a reason, but that doesn't make it any less annoying.

And regarding the workbench, that's not really true. You can start building Sanctuary literally as soon as you walk out of Vault 111. You don't need the Minutemen to unlock any of the settlement locations in the game.

You won't lose out on the Castle. You don't need Preston to unlock it. You can do it by yourself at any time.

No, the main quest will never force you to go to Concord and rescue them. You can do it way later if you want to, or just never do it at all.
