If this has already been addressed in an earlier thread, my apologies.

I started a second playthru recently and named my female character "Angel". Well, imagine my

surprise a few hours in when Codsworth started calling me "Miss Angel"...... what the heck ?

At first I thought it to be a coincidence, but then after meeting Nick Valentine, he occasionally calls

me "Miss Angel" as well. So far those are the only two characters to do so, but I'm wondering if

there are certain first names in the game that somehow connect to this kind of real time dialogue.

Or I could just be crazy. Or is Bethesda that good ?

Anybody encountered this with any other names they've chosen for their female or male character ?

It is known Cods mentions you by name if its one from the list. But Valentine doing so, now that's news to me.

I don't remember Nick calling you by the name. It's only Codsworth who has a bunch of name pre-recorded and will call it based on what you tell the Vault Tec rep. Some of the names he calls you can be swear words.

Honestly, Nick has called me Miss Angel twice now.... the second time after dealing with Kellog.

Codsworth has a pretty long list of names that he can say, but he's the only NPC I'm aware of that can. Nick has definitely never said my name. Are you sure you're not just hearing something wrong?

Its easy to beleive why did not have any variation of Shawn as a name NPCs could say its too bad that could be someones name.

Nick and Codsworth are both voiced by the amazing Stephen Russell.

Did Nick momentarily lose his mega-American chewy accent as he used your name? That would explain a lot.

It could be that since Nick is a detective-noir type character that "Angel" is one of the words prerecorded as part of his dialogue and just happens to be your name, so he uses it. That's a nice touch on the part of the developers if so.
