Please fix slow load times or allow for removal of 1.4 patch

Post » Mon Feb 08, 2016 8:18 pm

I loved Fallout4 before the latest patch(1.4). Now I spend a great portion of my time watching a blank load screen anywhere from 30 seconds to 4 minutes every time I go from place to place.

Please either FIX the issue you introduced, or allow us to roll off the problem you created with your latest patch. My system far exceeds the recommended gaming specs, and it's not a defrag issue on my SSD.

The other option is to do nothing, and not acknowledge the issue which makes my future purchases with you a lot easier to skip next time.

It's amazing how one patch can change my perception of your company and game from Amazing to unplayable.

(I realize this sounds a bit harsh, but the game is incredible, and would love to have it fixed.)

Are you from the future? Us here, we've only just had the 1.3 patch and the consoles are still waiting on the same. :wavey:

All joking aside, I do agree the loading times are a bit irritatingly long, but I'm willing to wait and see if they fix this issue in the next patch. Gives me chance to read my book doing the intermissions. Though four minutes is harsh, my longest is about a minute, and I don't have the best of setups and I'm running with a ton of mods.

Hey it's the rule of thumb.

Don't know if you played ESO... That seems to be Bethesda's MO. Except it's more like fix one minor thing break 10 major things.

Yep, pretty irritating. My loads have gone from not enough time to really read the text to multiple texts in a load and sometimes the loading pictures/models don't even show up.

yesterday I saw this on the PS4

-Load a saved game( around 25-35 seconds)..can be more

then go to cambridge Police station (load another round 25-30 seconds)..can be more

then go 'inside' the Police station via a door (load another round 25-35 seconds-can be more).....but the door never opened and game crashed ( I had to send a report to sony etc etc)

in a Happy-flow , it takes around a minimum 2 to 3 minutes(could be more) just to load a saved game and finally go though a door , without even playing a single step.

then I think: if I need to go to 'cambridge Police station' (as an example), why not the option to be either 'inside' or 'outside'...groan how much load time could be saved with these simple 'option' computations.
