Hey,

Been having no major issues with fallout since release on xbox one, however after downloading the new update this morning it crashes on the start up screen as soon as I press anything to start. Screen freezes, music still plays but does not repeat and the loading icon in bottom right corner has frozen.

I've restarted my console, started a diffrent game and gone back to fallout, really trying not to full delete the game as I have many many hours saved and would be gutted if I have to delete it.

Please help! ??



Solved with 3rd hard reset!

I didn't have any issues. I was hoping it would fix a glitch I ran into last night but didn't...

I was settlement building when I got a message that Nordhagen was under attack. So I walked away from my settlement, then fast traveled to Nordhagen. Encountered about 8 synth troopers and then a settler who was a synth infiltrator/spy. Killed them all and the other settlers thanked me...but the mission never showed as complete even though the settler that was a synth spy was killed. I even save it and killed all the other settlers to see if anymore of them were synth spies but they weren't. This morning after it updated, I went back in to see if it fixed that, and it didn't. So I went to a previous save, did the battle again and same thing. I wound up having to go about 1 hour previous to a save prior to receiving the under attack notification and fast travel to Nordhagen. When I got there I still ran into the Synth troopers and the synth settler/spy. But at least this time there was no actual quest to complete so I didn't get the can't finish mission glitch. Wish they'd fix that...always remember to save often.

Hey. I'm having the same issue, haven't had any issues before. What do you mean by 'hard reset'? I've done on/off more times than i can count. Thanks for the post, btw.

Ok, figured it out. Power button, 5 second hold.

Same thing. I had just gotten a xbox one today and I popped in Fallout 4. After downloading it I went to start it up. The first time I managed to get to the settings screen then it froze. But then forth on every time I press the button to get to the start menu it just frezzes. I have done extensive research and found nothing but things that did not work for my console. This is really frustrating because I had literally just got the game. Please help us on this issue because this is probably just a coding error to do with the update or something stupid like that.
