I'm from Asia too. But I used R1 for this game.

If you're not too far ahead, perhaps it's better for you to start anew with R1 copy. Just grab a used copy, like I do.

I'm in asia and got the patch this morning..but if you ask me, this one's buggy for the most part..don't worry though, they'll have another new patch very soon.

Hmm...did you try to check for updates in options..I'm in India and it showed me update available the moment I started my ps4 and went to the homescreen.
