How would YOU Direct the Institute?

Post » Fri Feb 12, 2016 8:05 am

One of the biggest draws of the institute path is the fact that you get to be head honcho (and actually have it mean something).

So for all you institute supporters out there, I'm wondering: how exactly would you direct the institute? What kind of policies would you inact? How would you deal with the Gen 3 situation? How would you deal with the surface? Are you going to continue isolationism, or make a second attempt at the CPG, or launch a massive takeover of the commonwealth? What about the FEV thing?

Why would you do what you would do, and how would you go about it?

Note: this assumes an Institute victory, obviously.

Also: no faction fights please. This is not an institute vs Railroad vs BOS vs Minutemen argument/debate thread (though I might do a similar topic for Minutemen General and/or BOS Elder if someone doesn't beat me to it.)

I will ask everyone to submit their idea of hot man / woman they would bang.

Then I'll produce new Synths and tailor the proportion based on the ideas and grant people's request by sending their dream man/woman to their door step.

Anyone who wants more can always request me to produce another copy of the Synth just for 7000 caps.

1. Add some way for Wastelanders to recognize Gen-3 Synths like mechanical cat ears. Diamond City treated Nick Valentine just fine so Diamond City is prejudiced against Synth Infiltrators not Synths.

2. Remove all questionable activities on the surface and blame them on the previous administration.

3. Stop production of Gen-3 Synths and restart building Gen-2 Synths.

4. Reveal every Synth infiltrator and recall those that wish to return. Those that don't wish to return will either have the Coursers sicked on them or come to some agreement.

5. Send all Synths that wish to leave the Institute to the Glowing Sea. They will not have any hostile Wastelanders attack them and they can create their own civilization. There is also the added benefit that the Glowing Sea would be cleaned up eventually.

6. Build an Institute Center on the surface so the Commonwealth can interact with the Institute without messing up the Institute's floors with their dirty feet.

7. Use the Gen-1 and Gen-2 Synths to rebuild the Commonwealth.

8. Try to form a Commonwealth Government.

- 1st thing u need to solve is experimenting on gen-3 synths problem because they are already mounting a " kill all the scientists pijama party " - i would stop it

- i wouldn't bother with the surface dwellers

- continue the cybernetic implants project ( the one that increases u're lifespan )

- i would switch synth infiltration to experiment on raiders / gunners instead of farmers

- re-open he FEV program ( i need super mutant soldiers )

- you'r not doing it right if u side with the institute to help the commonwealth -> go Minutemen or BoS if u want that

good luck with that

1. Pull smiley face on Gen 1 and 2

2. Free healthcare for all, free nanobots for all

3. Stop using Gen-3, because there's nanobots in everyone now

Good Guy Route:

1. Make Gen 1 and 2 less creepy

2. Free healthcare

3. Stop using Gen-3

I'd direct the Institute into a smoking crater left from a nuclear explosion.

Short time plans:

Cease infiltrator program, with some pivotal exceptions

Re-open cybernetics project.

Plasma weaponry

Getting Virgil back home, having him telling everyone else his stories , why he left, he has to be rehabilitated and actively working into a FEV cure.

Execute Liam Binet for betrayal.

Looking for a successor who wouldn't hinder the reforming process

Long time plans:

Eventualy cut gen 3 production until it can be fixed the patriot issue.

Cold fusion program

Institute Power Armors , learn from your enemy how to beat him better.

Empowered teleporter

Creation of backup bunkers - recall quarters in case of an internal attack.

Establish a surface "embassy" or something like that, show them scientific basis, recruit the best minds that come seeking contacts.

Track down dr. Zimmer.

Obliterate every and all RR remnants, synths sympatizers, potential safety threats, etc.

Appoint successor then enjoy the hardly earned peace on old age with clean environment and toilet paper. :D

1) No FEV test, no fake gorilas, no kidnapping. Minutemen taking care of short-term problems, Institute working in the long term, like advances in agriculture.

2) Mr. Handys with human facade? For what? Dont need them. It would be the first program to be canceled.
