Problems persist, worsen after 1.3 - PS4

Post » Fri Feb 12, 2016 8:09 pm

I've "struck out" the lines irrelevant to me as they're either, not for console, issues I've not had or noticed; done with the mission, or I don't meet criteria (perk/companion).

"Problem areas" are Red.

Notable, distinct improvements, Green.

Explanation in Yellow.

New Features

New ambient occlusion setting, HBAO+

New weapon debris effects (NVIDIA cards only)

Added status menu for settlers in your settlements - Some settlers not displaying this properly. Especially when being moved from one assignment to another.

Added ability to rotate an object you are holding with left/right triggers and pressing down on

left thumbstick lets you switch the rotating axis - So ? This feature doesn't exist in "workshop mode" and placed items outside of workshop mode don't "stick".

Improved "ESDF" keys remapping support while in Workshop mode

Dramatically increases object fading distance. - It's worse than it was. Now I have invisible enemies firing at me fro overpasses and brahmin popping up in the middle of a road. The visual quality at launch... Where'd that go ?

Gameplay Fixes

General memory and stability improvements - Items placed (from workshop mode) seem to stay. Other than that, no noticeable change.

Improved performance when looking through a scope

Fixed issue where player could warp to a different location when aiming

Companions can no longer get stuck with radiation poisoning

Fixed an issue where Vault 81 residents would not dismember correctly

Big Leagues perk now displays calculated damage correctly

Fixed issue with third person camera not displaying properly after exiting certain crafting stations

Fixed an issue where subtitles would occasionally not update properly

Effects will properly be removed on companions when items are unequipped

MacReady’s Killshot perk now calculates headshot percentages properly - Unfortunately. Before this perk and since this patch, I could be in a hallway, 10 feet from an enemy and miss all attempts in VATS at upwards of 80 % headshot. All weapons.

Fixed an issue with NPCs getting stuck in Power Armor

Fixed a rare issue with companions getting stuck in down state

Second rank of Aquaboy now calculates properly

Fixed an issue with resistance not always lowering the damage correctly when added by mods

Enabled number of characters available when renaming an item

Fixed issue with player becoming dismembered while still alive

Robotics expert is now usable in combat - Yes, but seemingly in an unintended manner, as the player can hack a robot from any distance where he/she can see it.

Stimpaks can now be used on Curie after the transformation

Playing a holotape found in wilderness while switching point of view no longer causes the screen to blur or controls to be locked

Quest Fixes - I've finished every quest prior to patch.

Workshop Fixes

Fixed a bug that would cause settler counts to appear incorrectly - ?These numbers are still inaccurate. In some cases the number is, seemingly too high. Settlers are missing. * I have found "the missing" in a few occasions, stuck somewhere else, in the wilderness. Other cases, the number is too low. I have 8 people in Sanctuary, plus Codsworth, Dogmeat and two junkyard dogs. Count is 7, both on map and in workshop.

Fixed an issue that could prevent the player from setting up a supply line in settlements with a high population

Improvements to snapping pieces together while in Workshop mode - No.

Fixed an issue that caused powered items to stop functioning permanently if its power source was ever removed

Player can now build workbenches in their Diamond City house

Building wires no longer uses up copper

Fixed issue with certain settlement attacks not generating properly

Fixed an issue with settlement happiness calculations - Maybe explain this.. The numbers on the map, or...? The settlement(s) itself "attitudes" haven't changed and the necessary workarounds (building many clinics) are still necessary.

Settlers assigned to weapons stand will now stand next to it - No. And not just weapons. Many settlers seem to either REALLY wanna get that spot on the wall fixed or tend crops. Artillery and defense posts are common insubordinates as well.

Diamond City house now shows provided power

Repairing items will now correctly consume resources

Fixed an issue where companion would ignore commands at workshop locations - Marcy Long, Jun Long and Codsworth will ignore assignments. The Longs will increase the numbers when assigned to food or defense, but neither will stay at a stores they're assigned to, forcing you to look for them. Codsworth won't accept any assignment other than food and when given that task one plant (whichever one you point to when assigning) will highlight and nothing will be added to the resource count. Piper, when assigned to any store will not engage in store menu. Sheffield, when assigned to any store works 24/7, forcing the player to cancel his assignment to equip him with items. ALL named NPC's at settlements, when assigned to stores, force the player through their dialogues before doing business.

Fixed an issue with crops appearing destroyed after saving and reloading

I totally agree with the bugs in the settlement. Seems like it will never be fixed. Number of settlers is constantly high and for some reason water says 0 but when I fast travel its all there...
