NICK VALENTINE UNABLE TO ROMANCE!? NOOOOOO! (sugestion)

Post » Fri Feb 12, 2016 11:08 pm

When I found out I was soooo heartbroken. I haven't beaten the game but I heard there is a female robot (considering) you can date... :nope: I think most gamers are guys so there are more female romance options.. It would be so cool if they released on this upcoming valentines more romance options. I would want Nick romanceable...why isn't he romanceable? I was building a nice house and stuff and then I told I can't... WaHHHHHH!

Other than that, fallout 4 has been great.

There are actually more male romance options than there are female romance options.

The males you can romance are Danse, MacCready, Preston, and Hancock.

The females you can romance are Piper, Curie, and Cait.

For what it's worth, Nick doesn't strike me as being much of the romantic type. I don't think he has any kind of interest in stuff like that.

Glad it was great for you!

For my 0.02 caps not so much for me. I like the game no doubt, but I feel like some things have been dialed down compared to the last two FO entries. Again, that in my opinion.

He flirts with one character in such a sixy growl that I can't help but think he'd be interested.

Yeah, me too. He's such a good character.

I don't think he has the plumbing part being an early synth-2 model. Plus, maybe he still loves his "fiancee", not sure, but it wasn't just Nick, some people were disappointed that Deacon wasn't an option. I'm ok with MacCready and Danse, so I'm not complaining but I can see why people are sad about that.

Maybe he and his secretary got something going on. She did seem very happy to see him, also she lives in the same house. Not saying that is enough to go on, but it is not impossible. Valentine is one of my favourites though, nicely woven into the main plot and a strong story on his own, so a romance would be fitting, but it doesn't have to be for every character.

Perhaps with a DLC/upgrade you could pop Nick on the Weapons Bench and upgrade him (Gun Nut 5?)

using:

  • A plunger?

  • Toy Car?

  • Nuka Cola Bottle?

?

I share your grief. The straight ladies really only have a choice between a potato stuck in power armor all day or that slimy McCready fellow....don't even need to mention Preston. A Nick romance would be very awesome.

I don't know. I love everything about Nick. He was simply the best part of Fallout 4 for me, where I was genuinely disappointed with the majority of decisions and directions in this game, I will always remember Nick Valentine.

He just comes across as a very kind person and his kindness feels pure. It's the kind of kindness that grand fathers have though, at least to me. I actually never met my grand fathers but he feels like one.

And the whole situation with his family and adjusting to a new life as a you know what, I feel he wouldn't be intrested in romance. He is more concerned about maintaining who he is, or who he thinks he is. He is very lovable though :)

Yay! I am not the only one!!! We should like suggest it or something to the creators of Fallout 4! I rather try than not try at all to have Nick as a Romance(and more romance options for us ladies)...but how would one go about to do that? :unsure2:

The gay men have the same choice ;) I was also sad when I couldn't romance Nick, I love his character and his story, and thought it would be cute to hook my guy up with someone else who is ~kinda~ from his pre-war time.

I opted for romancing Handcock, worked out for the best, I really like him too.

Nick is not romanceable because he is not interested in you in such way no matter what.

I can fully respect my partner`s choice if they are not into me. Not just for Nick, but for all companions.

Nick is gen2 synth, and I doubt if he can create his own emotion other than what`s already given and programmed in him.

This isn't the spoilers section, so I won't ruin it for you but...

Well, when I say that he embodies every single cliché/stereotype of the 1940s Noire film detective, I really mean it. Now, what's one of the biggest tropes all 1940s Noire film detectives share? ;) I'll let you figure that out on your own.

I got Danse out of the power armor and he'd wear whatever you give him. I don't get the hate for MacCready, he's pretty funny and I love his horrible puns. If he didn't love anyone for hundreds of years, I doubt he would make an exception for you anyway. I can't imagine Nick says something romantic though, he sounds and acts like a loving grandpa.

seriously, how would you suggest things? They didn't have pink hair and I loved having pink hair in fallout 3.

Technically, there are many relationships between robots and humans in the game, even a marriage.

lol I know... and I would say the same thing to them if the game allowed it LOL I tried flirting with Curie just to see if it worked since Piper fails every damn time. It just feels weird and "desperate" to try and romance a "synth"... like it's a six bot or something.

Spoiler
I flirt with Danse before before knowing he's a robot. Still, Curie and Danse looks, acts, and behaves like humans, so there is no difference between being in a relationship with them or a normal human. Plus, they never grow old. That's what I love about these synths, man. I get older, they stay the same age.

Or, in my Melinda's case, you can romance everybody available EXCEPT Hancock. Yuck, just yuck.

"You want to romance Nick? You know what thinks like that? A synth!" - Elder Maxson

Oh wait....I forgot the *Pulls out Gatling laser" part. :P

OT: Yea, I remember questioning why Nick wasn't a romance option. Then I realized...."Wow, Nick is like a cool Grandpa to me".

Nick is such a great character and I really like him as a traveling companion. I am happy with him being just who he is, the way the devs created him. Not all great friendships need to end in romance. Sometimes it is nice just to know someone has your back out in that big, lonely Wasteland.

I really, really hope that we see more of Nick Valentine in the future dlc.
