Not a huge rant but I have a real problem with the vendors

MacCready's perk was being calculated incorrectly and you fixed it... fine... annoying but moving on...

Why is it that you fixed this as well as a plethora of other issues, and yet you left the bug that allows vendors to thieve THOUSANDS of caps from me like it wasn't even a problem?

in case by some miracle you have no idea what I'm talking about, go to youtube and search "Fallout 4 Bugged Vendors". It happens more than half the time I'm trying to buy/sell stuff

Yeah thats the one. Thanks!

I couldn't figure out how to post a link before.

I searched the forum for "Vendor" and a thread posting in January talked about it happening but thats it. I have this game on both the PC and my XBox One and the vendor issue happens with both versions so I assume this has something to do with some back end calculation that I haven't figured out yet. I've tried amounts that have been exact, as well as less than and even OVER the amount of caps the vendor has and I get the bug anyway. I have also tried to try selling/buying when I was on various vendor tabs and it doesnt seem to matter either.

I can also attest this has happened to me as well. Really infuriating the first couple of times it happened. I've since been very careful to make sure the caps are actually transferring, but it still needs to be fixed.

Devs (especially Beth) feel the need to stop glitches rather than bugs which I never understood. They got rid of the duplicating materials, infinite cap glitch, if you pressed A and B (xbox) you could make anything and never lose materials making endless Chems. But bugs that break their game are not top priority. most people choose not to cheat yet Beth always jumps on these cheats immediately. Game breaking bugs be damned 5% of people have more caps than they should. You losing your caps they couldn't care less about. but if you gain caps and it doesn't affect your fun and enjoyment at all and doesnt break the game whatsoever they feel the need to shut that down. 3 months in and few bugs have been fixed and all cheats have vanished, it shows their priorities are pretty clear.

I thought maybe it had to do with the vendor not being able to "see" caps it had attained in transactions but nope that's not always the case. I have had situations where I have definitely gotten back amounts in excess of the amount that they started with.

My gut tells me this is something to do with the vendor exploit that got fixed, yeah.
