I would have liked to have an option for the human error quest to talk them out of their overreaction and stop their experiments. Unfortunately, I ended up doing what most of you have, killing them all. I did leave the doctor alive though I'm not sure I did the right thing. She has the same questionable ethics that EVERY scientist in Fallout seems to have. It's as though Nazi scientists wrote the ethical guidelines for the fallout world.

I agree, I killed the scientists and every one in there but then I just never came back to covenant again. I know they will shoot but I can't bring myself to kill them. I mean, when I imagine killing someone like Talia Mcgovern (the mechanic girl)... What sort of monster could do that ?! Sure the scientists might be jerks (understandable though) but most people in the covenant were just scared.

So I ignore them and they live in their settlement for themselves just fine now.

i havnt done this quest on any of my characters purely for this reason

especially annoys me that my silver tongued blonde 11 charisma, agathas dress fashionable glasses and militia hat =16charisma before i even think of drugs and alcohol character doesnt have any sort of option too either

Why would anyone kill the best settlement in the game? I sided with the institute and still kept them.

because RP, although my character does not support the institute she would never allow or be happy with the torture, experimentation on and murder of non-hostile synths

plus as a RR supporter theres no way she would go along with this

yes its one of the best settlements in the game, which is why theres a thread wishing that we had an option to talk them out of over reactions and experimentation
