I've been having the same issue I just got the game three days ago and first day it crashed on me I'm gonna have to reach out to Apple to get my money back for these [censored] ass lunch boxes cuz these [censored] ass games are so poorly made

This has happened to me twice. First time I had 2 vaults at 175 dwellers and multiple purchases. Just today it happened again after building up to a 50 dweller vault.

Just like Bad_Karma, both corruptions happened when I was on a southwest flight. It seems like not having a connection to the internet may be part of ths issue. In both cases for me I was connected to the wifi but had not signed into the internet so communication was blocked.

FYI.. You can request a refund from Apple for purchases. Just say that it is a known bug and the company does not have a way to restore purchases. it worked for me.

Come on Bethesda, can someone please reply and tell us you are working on it?

So like everyone else I have the same issue with crashing. Mine is on startup, it goes to the splash screen and immediately shuts down but I can see that it is running in the background. Now Bethesda says to report that bug here and I can see that many have, so my question is what is being done about it? Do they even read these forums? Why is there not a single dev response even to just say hey we are not sure what's going on but we are working on it? I guess I will take my comments to the app store and start warning everyone away from the game. It's too bad, it is a fun addictive game but it seems laziness is getting the better of them.

I reported the problem to Apple and Apple issued a full refund for all my purchases. I guess if our pleas for help are not going to be answered, we will have to speak through refunds to get something done. It's a shame it's come to this, where loyal fans and customers are being ignored.

After patching to iOS 9.0.2 using a 6s, game suddenly crashed on startup. Can't event get to the menu screen, I have a packed vault with 200 and already very far into the game. Don't want to delete and install new as I will lose my vaults. Cant play now. Help!

I am now a member of this illustrious group. My Vault, which I damn near got to perfection, is no longer viable. It too fails to load, allowing me the option to tap it to open, loading, but crashing to black at the moment of actually getting into the vault...

Makes me wonder if fallout 4 is going to repeat this trend. FO3, FONV and now this. All of them great games, all of them riddled with QC issues. WTF Bethesda?

Me too! I contacted Bethesda support and got the auto-support responses recommending I reboot device and check compatibility- etc. finally got an email essentially saying I need to wait for the next update, and that may fix the issues.

I explained I've spent around $60 to $80 in lunch boxes and Mr. Handies, and they said they have no way to refund or offer an in-game credit (if I were to uninstall and re-install the app as a fix and want all my lunch boxes credited)


End result, no fix for me (us), and no other option but to wait until a fix is issued - i.e. No new news..


I'm not sure if deleting the game and reinstalling would fix the issue. In nervous to try and lose everything - I've got a large vault with full compliment. Idk...

Oh forgot about the when and where... Game loads, when loading vault it Stops Tor a few secs, then sounds like vault is booting Up, then crashes immediately to homescreen.

I'm using an old iPad 2, I know, not supported.. but still a populair device!

I love this game (the Fallout feel..) but i'm hoping that there will be a stable version soon.... Or ... a Lite version without the crashes (performance lag I can life with), but this game is now unplayable, tons of crashes at only 30 random dweilers (ipad 2, ios-9, airplane mode, wifi off etc)

If there could be a lite version, fully zoomed oud, with no camera-zooming... but stable : I even want to pay for it!

Lucky for me... fallout 4 is released in a month...but this game could be so much more!

Exactly what happens to mine.

iOS 8.3 iPhone 6 plus, 64gig, had over 50 unopened lunch boxes, 11 mr handy's-4 still boxed unopened, no cheats used ever, max caps, all rocks removed, top 4 levels where maxed out nuclear reactors, next two levels where maxed out Cola plants, next two levels where maxed out med labs, then three levels of radio rooms, then double max of each training room, 3x2 max level in SPECIAL order at the very bottom was the living space, had a stograge capacity of 480-using 396 of that space, 180 dwellers, all with maxed special or about to be max special and leveled up from 1 to 50 only after all specials where maxed out. I had almost every legendary dweller, weapon and armor. Been playing since day one on iOS and all of that effort and money spent is gone.


The icing on the hurt cake was that all my dwellers were renamed after people from Star Trek, Star Wars, mass effect, metal gear solid, archer, marvel and DC characters that they looked like. I had Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne in my vault. Peter Parker, MJ, Kirk, Shepard, Picard, Luke, Han, archer, LANA! Tony stark, big boss, etc etc. So sad.


I was more than happy to support Bethesda for such an awesome game and now have nothing to show for it. If they could release a save game repair tool or make the next patch open old saves that stopped working I'd preorder everything they made from now on and sing praises of their competence.
