Dwellers died the next day

Post » Sat Feb 13, 2016 3:30 am

hie, i played this game last night and i enjoyed it and every dweller was happy at 97%

this morning I woke up, most of my dwellers died and some are very unhappy. My resources was down by 0. DO I HAVE TO KEEP PLAYING THIS GAME NON STOP to avoid dissaster? isn't there like an idle mode or rest mode or something. I dont want to keep waking up 8 hours later to find my dwellers all dead.

I've found the best thing to do is just build up resources a little more than the minimum so everything is out of the red and you're relatively ok. I've had a few die from other things, like low health or an attack, but not inactivity.

Mine was maxed out in terms of resources and happiness. The next day I opened my iPad, most of them died by radroaches and others got poisoned and unhappy. I was like "WTF??. I started a new vault after that.

I mean seriously, wtf?

I would say it's an obvious flaw that if you don't have the time to play the game every day you will lose everything.

They probably did it this way so we wouldn't have to wait 4-5 actual gaming hours for a pregnancy to run it's course.

The game progresses faster if it run in the background, but for those who don't have the time requiered this is a big problem.

Hopefully they will come up with some idea on how to solve this issue.

Ok, so now I'm concerned.

Last night I turned the game off with 12 dwellers, one pregnant. Happiness averaged at 80%. All resources well into the green.

I didn't turn the game on this morning because ... well life. So when I get home after work what do you expect I will find? Note this will be about 19 hours off the game. Now I did turn the iPad completely off ... if that matters.

This game is a nice concept however it need freeze and resume button - otherwise is unplayable. How come I will spend so much time just keep collect my resources to make it live?

I imagine that freeze, will pause all activity in game, including production - that is simple.

If I want to play and again and spend some time, then I resume my game as I left it. Otherwise this game have no sense.

Now, even if you switch off game completely it will still work in background.

I'm not having those issues, but I try to keep resource levels high.

If you can spend playing this game hours that good for you, but this is not any kind of solution for most of players

If you leave the game running in the background for a significant period of time (i.e., don't turn the device off or force quit the app), you will return to a dead vault.

I'm wondering if this might be a glitch? Maybe it's supposed to go idle when you quit the app, but keep running when it's just in the background. If not, that seems like it might be a good solution, and at the moment that doesn't seem to be how it works. I quit the app last night and woke up to find most of my resources gone. Granted, they weren't super high when I went to bed, but some were definitely in the green. In any case, they need to fix it so your entire vault doesn't die overnight.

According to Beth, the game only consumes resources a short amount of time after you shut it down, so make sure you're in the green before exiting the game.

Also, raiders, roaches, fires and other calamities will NOT happen when you exit the game or during any amount of time you're away from the game, just make sure you exit (close the app to be sure). Preggies and exploration will continue and babies be born next time you log in.

It should be fairly safe to shut it down and not log in for weeks if you don't care to.

So far by closing the app completely works and only the resources were drained a little. Could be if you press the button back to your homescreen and letting it go on in the multitasking, some things might happened. Not sure, bout this.

Yeah I didn't have any problem starting back up the next day. I played on an iPad and just turned it off when I was finished.
