Thought I'd share some things I think would improve the game.

When you get a lot of dwellers it can be difficult to click on them all individually to give them a stim pack, in the list of dwellers you should be able to equip them with a gun and give clothes, give them a stim pack and heal too.

Some sort of defense against radroaches you can mount in upgraded rooms.

Gun turret outside the vault door, upgrading it has no effect other than add time to get someone close to it.

Ability to move rooms. I'd like to move an upgraded 3 block room in between a pair of lifts. It won't let me just demolish it as its attached to two rooms (lift and the room). I can't demolish the lift as its attached to the room and the one next to it, can't demolish the room nex.... You get the idea.

Sprinkler system for fires.

Ability to pause the game, I know it's a kind of simulation and impossible to pause actual life, but its a game and it's hard to put down and have an actual life, haha.

Anyone have anymore.

I second that. If you can pause your own game you are given the possibility to always be in control. This to the cost of slower game progression when it comes to investigating the wasteland and pregnancys. This however is a small price to pay as I see it.

At the very least it would give an option. If you wanted to let it run at a slower pace then you could, but if you wanted to super micro manage you could also. I really want to be able to "remodel" the rooms, more than move them. Like change their use to something else.

I third this. ^_^

This is a fantastic idea. I would also love to be able to 'redecorate' the rooms in a similar way that you can on Tiny Tower, you know, like repaint the room red instead of blue, etc.

Other things I would like to see added:

  • A genealogy tree - It might seem silly, and it certainly isn't necessary for the vault's survival, but it would delight me to no end. I'm currently keeping track on paper who I'm mating together and how many kids they have. It would be a ton easier if there was an in-game family tree. I know, I'm a nerd. ^_^

  • Selector Arrows next to each person's SPECIAL portrait when selected. My thinking is, it would be really nice to have left/right arrows next to those portraits that can be used to cycle through all of the residents w/o having to select each one individually. This would just make things easier when you don't need to pull up the Vault's entire resident list.

  • Add the option to change the in-game menu default color like you can with options in Fallout with the Pip-Boy: Amber, White, Green, etc.

  • I also want to second the option to move rooms around.

Loving the app so far, even though it is a bit buggy. But, as to be expected for a brand new app.

I'm sure I'll have more ideas the longer I play, but for now, that's it!

First of all, I would like to thank the developers for making the game free without the usual "give us money to play like a normal person". It's fun, it's not annoying you and it gives you those cool FTL like moments when you need to micro-manage events although on a much smaller scale. I rarely play any games on my phones at all, but now I just can't stop playing the Shelter.

But since this is a request thread, I'd like to contribute a few things I've noticed for now.

The only sort-of-bug I've noticed is that sometimes pregnant women won't be "draggable" at all. Re-launch of the application amends that, but only until the next time it happens again. Other than that, sometimes the game starts to load from the scratch (with vault selection, etc) even though I just minimized the app and opened it 7 seconds later. But that's more of a stability issue which I'm sure will be plenty fixed in upcoming updates.

As for suggestions for future udpates, the biggest one that just gets to me is Energy management. You say that one of the games that influenced you was FTL, so it would be really nice to have similar power management as there. In FTL you could always prioritize your ship's sectors to power off some of the rooms in favour of the more important ones. It's just quite annoying when your power gets below the required minimum and it powers off an entire cafeteria (or just random room) instead of an empty storage room. Also, it seems like there's some kind of cap for Stimpacks and RadAways? So for example you get your 25 of each and then your production just runs on empty. So you can essentially move dwellers to other rooms and power off the unattended ones to save yourself some power. Should be quite handy.

As was mentioned before, maybe some defence options for vault door since now it's just a time delay upgrade.

Oh, and making the map that way that you can only have 3-merged and 2-merged rooms to the right of the elevator is pure punishment :D

I guess that's it for now and thanks for reading if you're here!

Agreed, @Lunessence a genealogy tree would be great.

I would like to have a few travellers like slavers or merchants.

1) Trades with other vaults

2) Behemoth or deathclaws at the door, as long as they are at your gate no new dwellers will be coming, but that also meant no raiders as well.

3) A pause menu like everyone else suggest

4) Crimes like murder, [censored] does occured, need a court and prison for things like this

5) Public toilet

6) There will be situations where an expedition team would be required, for example, to save an explorer.

I'd like to be able to have the children train their SPECIAL skills or at least one of them, either with you controlling what skill they train or they randomly gravitate to a training room (depending on the room/rooms you have and the space available in them.)
